Terrie
O'Rourke
GAMMA Program “Mama”
Terrie is best defined as a deep technology and project management leader with the keen ability to cut through the “BS” and drive teams to higher levels of performance.

Terrie uniquely spent her whole career at AT&T. When asked why she spent 35 years with one company, she notes two things “leverage your strengths” and “loyalty, commitment, and a sense of belonging are intangible values that are often undervalued.”
Terrie has a strong sense of community and is passionate about finding ways to give to others. She is an advisor to Watson Institute, an organization supporting under-served young entrepreneurs to find their path and bring their innovation to market. She is an advisor to Invigorate, a start-up whose mission is to help people with auto immune issues. Terrie is very proud of a recent experience where she coached two young women founders from the pre-seed stage, through an incubator to a successful fund raise. Terrie helps drive other non profits that are focused on helping individuals with disabilities.
As a single parent raising a child with disabilities, Terrie juggled education, a bartending job and family responsibilities. These life lessons gave Terrie a foundation for her success at AT&T along with her NCV super-power. She is the go-to person to help founders get laser focused. As Terrie says, “you must prioritize the critical few from the trivial many.”
To further describe Terrie would be to say she is a die-hard sports enthusiast including a long-suffering NY Jets fan. Known as the “cool aunt” to her nieces and nephews, (see BIO picture) she is willing to hold lizards and go makeup shopping all in one day. A voracious reader and newly retired from AT&T, Terrie now has time to juggle another ball––she has begun work on her first novel.
