A retired Senior Partner with Deloitte recognized as a global leader specializing in global tax matters impacting clients that started and acquired new business ventures. This experience furthered Phillip’s expertise in evaluating new business ventures’ viability and the due diligence of these endeavors required of him from his clients.

Phillip remains driven to create accelerated change through technology and started many new businesses within Deloitte’s tax practice. Launching these new tax services required him to have a startup mind set to assess needs, market size, resources, penetration paths and the path to profitability.

Phillip is a self-described overachiever. He believes his grit and willingness to take smart risks and ‘go to where the puck is going’ (credit to Wayne Gretzky) allowed him continued success as a leader, client partner and academic. Phillip’s passion has always been to identify changes in the market and play a leadership role in leading and accelerating these changes to create new opportunities for many. He thrives on helping others recognize prospective change and how they can best adapt to constantly gaining comfort with the uncomfortable changes that are inevitably coming.

While Phillip has an ever-growing bucket list, high on Phillip’s list is to take his boat from South Florida up the east coast of the U.S. thru the Hudson River passing Manhattan and on his way up to Maine. Phillip’s passion to continue learning and embrace challenges, led him to acquire a boat that was 30’ longer than he had ever operated, but also to go back to marine training school and pass a rigorous curriculum that rivaled the CPA exam to be certified as a U.S. Coastguard Captain.
