John launched a new venture, Aspire residential, where he combines his past experience in tech, real estate development & ownership, and Government funding, to design, build and own sustainable, attainable multifamily apartments at scale.

John’s early career was in growth and management of small, defense/federal tech businesses, and he then moved into tech angel investing, real estate projects and advisory services. He was Managing Director at Nanocomp (acquired by Huntsman Chemical) an advanced materials company, where he secured critical government funding and pivoted the company to a dual strategy of clean energy and advanced carbon materials. Subsequently, John took on the role of Chief Sales and Marketing Officer for Alert Innovation, a robotics grocery fulfillment company, during the COVID era (acquired by Walmart in November 2022).

John brings this unique experience and expertise to NCV founders, which, combined with the breadth of his network, proves invaluable to the founders and companies he works with. With a passion for giving back, he also supports and advises nonprofits on occasion and currently sits on the Board of Clean Energy New Hampshire and is a Board Observer for OnStation.

John is an avid outdoorsman, describing his passions as hunting, skiing, and half-jokingly a self-proclaimed asparagus farmer! With two kids in college now, John and his wife are relaunching themselves as soaring eagles and quite enjoying it!
